Brown Named College Sports Madness Player of the Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Senior forward Liz Brown of the Richmond women's basketball team has been named the Madness Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced Monday afternoon.
College Sports Madness identifies the players who have had the greatest impact on their team for each conference and on a national basis each Monday.
Brown led the Spiders to a 79-72 victory of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (6-4) this past Sunday with a career-high 24 points. The Baltimore, Md., native went 8-of-9 from the floor, including a perfect 4-of-4 performance from behind the arc to surpass her previous career mark by seven points. Brown also added seven rebounds, two blocks and two assists to her impressive performance.
The Spiders will be back in action Wednesday, Dec. 17 when they travel to UNC Wilmington for a 4:30 p.m. tip.
