Castle Collects First A-10 Rookie Honor Of Season

Richmond Spiders freshman attack Emily Castle (Annapolis, Md.) was today named the first Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week this season. In Richmond's first two matches of the season, Castle is one goal shy of the team lead with three.

In Richmond's season-opening home win over Liberty on Feb. 7, Castle produced two goals on three shots.

She added a goal in two shot attempts in Sunday's loss at No. 3 Maryland.

For the season, she has four ground balls to tie for the team lead and has won five draws in the two contests.

The Spiders will play their next three games on the road, with the next contest at No. 9 Virginia Wednesday at 5 p.m.
