FARMVILLE, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team dropped a dual-match to the Longwood Lancers on a soggy Friday afternoon, 15-3.
Senior Lauren Conder had the best day for the Spiders, carding a 76 to earn two of the team's three points. Junior Eliza Breed earned the team's other point in the modified match play set up in which three points were available in each match.
"It was a wet and windy day,” Richmond head coach Maggie Will remarked. “In spite of the conditions, we are thankful to Longwood for hosting us at The Manor Golf Club. I was impressed by the course. It was a great test and helped us get back into the competition mode. "
The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team will be back in action on March 2-4 when the team will play in the Kiawah Island Classic.
