Spider Wo Men's Golf Begins Play At UNCW Classic

WALLACE, N.C. – The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team began play at the UNCW Seahawk Classic on Saturday at the River Landing Country Club in Wallace, N.C.
Richmond carded team rounds of 335-337 to finish the first day with a two-round score of 72 (+96). Elon leads the nine-team tournament with a total of 603 (+27).
Senior Lauren Conder led the way for the Spiders on Saturday, shooting rounds of 75-77 to finish the day in 11th place with a total of 152 (+8). Conder was solid all day, but excelled on the back nine in both rounds, carding scores of 38-37.
Tying for 44th place after the first two rounds is senior Krystin Schwarze, who shot a 36-hole total of 170 (+26). Both Kira Kuhnert and Tiara Baskerville are tied for 46th place with scores of 180 (+36), while Alicia Reggiannini is tied for 48th with a total of 180 (+36).
The Richmond Spiders women's golf team will wrap up play at the UNCW Seahawk Classic on Sunday when the team plays the third and final round.
