Track & Field Set To Compete At 49th Colonial Relays

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va.- The Richmond track & field team heads back to William and Mary for the second time this outdoor season to compete in the 49th Annual Colonial Relays, taking place this Friday and Saturday.
The meet features 51 colleges and universities, 17 professional running clubs, and 39 high schools.
The Spiders have 20 women competing over the course of the weekend.
Sophomore standout, Janel Francis, is scheduled to compete in the 100m, long jump, 4x200m, and the 400m leg of the distance medley relay. Joining Francis in the 4x200m relay will be Mary Allen, Deborah Fajuyigbe, and Amber Young. In the distance medley relay, Francis will meet up with Taylor Clevinger, Alyson McGonigle, and Clare Moretz.
Jill Prentice will take the track for the first time this season, competing in the 3k. Sophomore Tara Hanley will also be taking the track for the first time this season, joining Prentice in the 3k.
Senior Kelsey McKenna, who is coming off a second-place finish in the 100m hurdles at last weekend's Fred Hardy Invitational, will hit the track to compete in the 100m hurdles, 100m dash, and the high jump.
