2013-14 Women's Lacrosse Year in Review

Record: 11-7, 5-2 A-10 (tied for second)
Conference Tournament: 2nd Seed, 1-1 (second place)
- The Spiders finished in a three-way tie for second and won the tiebreaker for the second-seed at the Atlantic Championships, which they hosted in May... Richmond lost in the Championship game to Massachusetts, ending the season at 11-7, the most wins for the team since 2007 and the most under Allison Evans
- Senior Taylor Blazer was named the Conference's Defensive Player of the Year
- Blazer was ranked as the third-most impactful defender at LaxPower.com, one of only 12 players with a rating above 90, one of only three with a rating above 97 for the season
- Blazer and junior Emily Doyle earned First-Team All-Atlantic 10, with midfielder Anna Jeszeck landing on the Second-Team... Emily Castle was named to the league's All-Freshman Squad
- Jeszeck and Blazer were also named to the All-Academic Team
- On the offensive end, Doyle set a new career high with 33 assists, second-most in a season in program history... She was third in the league in assists per game and fifth in points per contest
- Sophomore Charlett Stevenson led the team with 35 goals, one of six players with 20 or more goals scored in the season... Stevenson finished 10th in the league in goals-per-game average
- On the possession front, Blazer finished first in the conference by winning 3.61 draw controls per game... Her 65 total pushed her into a tie for the school's all-time career leader, with 159 to match Carolina McGuire (2003-06)... Blazer was also second in the league with a team-leading averages of 2.61 ground balls per contest (47 total)
- Blazer helped the team set a new record low of 7.83 goals allowed per game
- Goalie Emily Boyce finished with an 8.19 goals againast average, fifth-best in a season in team history
