Game Times, TV Appearances Announced For Football

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders football team will appear on television six times this season, including two nationally broadcast games, the CAA announced on Tuesday.
Richmond will begin the 2014 campaign against Morehead State on August 30, with kickoff slated for 6 p.m. at Robins Stadium. After traveling to Virginia the next week, which will be shown on ESPN3, the Spiders return home to face in-state rival Hampton at 6 p.m.
The first of Richmond's TV games will be on September 20, when the team plays host to New Hampshire on Family Weekend. The contest, which will kickoff at 4 p.m., will be shown on the NBC Sports Regional Network.
NBC Sports Regional Networks – which includes Comcast SportsNet – consists of 11 regional networks that deliver more than 2,400 live sporting events annually to more than 43 million homes.
After road games at Liberty and Albany, the Spiders come back to Robins Stadium to face Rhode Island on Homecoming Weekend on October 18. The contest will be shown on the American Sports Network at 3:30 p.m.
ASN is a collegiate sports initiative of the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which has affiliates that reach approximately 38.9-percent of U.S. households.
Two weeks later, Richmond will host the Villanova Wildcats at 12:30 p.m. at Robins Stadium, with the contest being aired on the NBC Sports Regional Network.
On November 15, the Spiders will wrap up the home portion of their 2014 schedule with a nationally-televised game against James Madison at 12:30 p.m. at Robins Stadium on the NBC Sports Network.
NBC Sports Network, who is broadcasting four CAA Football games nationally in 2014, will also televise Richmond's regular season finale at William & Mary on November 22. The “Oldest Rivalry in the South” will get underway at 7:30 p.m.
