Richmond WLAX Earns Academic Honor Squad by IWLCA

The Intercollegioate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association has recognized 84 schools as earning IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Squads Honors for the 2014 season.
The University of Richmond was on the list for the second-straight year and the third year in the past four seasons.
"Our student-athletes work incredibly hard in the classroom and it is great to see that effort recognized by the IWLCA," said UR head coach Allison Evans.
On the field, the Spiders finished tied for second in the Atlantic 10, and won the tiebreaker for the second-seed at the Atlantic Championships, which they hosted in May. Richmond reached the Championship game ending the season at 11-7, the most wins for the team since 2007.
The IWLCA has recognized 84 schools as earning IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Squad honors for the 2014 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Squad honors.
