Strauss, Grant Set For Tuesday's Sportsline At Outback

Kicking off its seventh consecutive football season, the Spider Sportsline returns to Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, Tuesday, Sept. 2, for its popular lunchtime program from noon-1pm.
The live radio show, featuring head coach Danny Rocco, “Voice of the Spiders” Bob Black and this week's special player guests, QB Michael Strauss and DB Justin Grant, airs on ESPN 950, Sports FM 100.5 and RichmondSpiders.com.
History will show the first-ever Spider Sportsline to be broadcast from Outback was exactly six years ago to the day, Sept. 2, 2008, marking the beginning of an historic season when the Spiders went on to win the NCAA Division I football national championship.
This Tuesday's show will feature a full recap of the season-opening triumph over Morehead State at Robins Stadium, and a preview of Saturday's 3:30 matchup at Virginia.
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend, enjoy lunch, and talk Spider and college football. Listeners can call-in during the program at 804-345-0950 or 233-7680. Emails can be sent anytime to spidersportsline@richmond.edu and will be read on-the-air.

Outback Steakhouse, 7917 W. Broad Street, is the home of The Spider Sportsline every Tuesday throughout the football season and is open for lunch seven days a week at 11 a.m.
There are four other conveniently-located Outback restaurants throughout the area – in Richmond off Huguenot Road; in Colonial Heights off S. Park Circle; in Mechanicsville off Bell Creek Road and in Midlothian off Chital Drive.
