Team Notes
- The loss is only the third in the last six games for Richmond against ranked opponents. Dating back to 2007, the Spiders are 23-20 overall against ranked teams.
- In a game featuring the two-best passing offenses in the CAA, the Spiders out-passed the Wildcats, 348-247.
Player Notes
- Sophomore WR Brian Brown had a career day with 12 receptions for 139 yards against the Wildcats. The 100-yards receiving game was the third in Brown's career.
- Senior WR Rashad Ponder recorded his third career 100-yard receiving game as well, reeling in seven receptions for 109 yards.
- Senior QB Michael Strauss completed 27-of-35 passes for a season-high 344 yards.
- Senior LB Eric Wright led the Spiders in tackles with 11.
- Senior DL Joey Landess had a career-high seven tackles in the loss.
- After missing last week, redshirt junior RB Seth Fisher ran for a team-best 60 yards with a pair of touchdowns.
- Senior QB Michael Rocco tallied his third rushing touchdown of the season in the third quarter.
