UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond head football coach Danny Rocco announced the addition of three FBS transfers on Monday - LB David Norris, DL Devin Cook and TE Garrett Hudson. All three will be eligible to begin play right away for the Spiders.
“We are excited to announce the addition of three transfer student-athletes to our program,” head coach Rocco said. “We thought it was necessary to aggressively pursue a number of candidates to bolster our roster for the start of spring football and to address several key positional needs. I am confident that they will all contribute to our future success.”
Norris joins the Spider football team from UAB, who discontinued its football program this past fall. Norris, a 6-2, 205-pound linebacker from Madison, Ala. will have four years of eligibility remaining.
Cook comes to Richmond with one year of eligibility remaining after transferring from Pitt. Cook, a 6-4, 240-pound defensive lineman played in 25 games for the Panthers, totaling 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss.
