Final Dual Swim Meet Friday at Villanova

Richmond swimming will compete in its final dual meet of the season Friday, with a noon tilt at Villanova. This is a matchup of defending conference champions, with the Atlantic 10 champion Spiders heading to Philadelphia to swim against the BIG EAST champion Wildcats at the Villanova Swim Complex. This will be a swim-only dual meet.
The two teams met in Richmond last season on Feb. 1, with Villanova edging out the road victory.
The Spiders boast both the A-10 Performer and Rookie of the Week, as announced on Tuesday. Senior Anna Fetter (Westfield, New Jersey) took her first career weekly award, and freshman Annie Lane (Vinton, Virginia / William Byrd HS) earned her third Rookie nod from the league this season.
Following this dual swim meet, the Spiders will spend the month of February preparing for the Atlantic 10 Championships, which take place in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute for the second year in a row, February 18-21. Richmond has won the last four championships in a row, and 12 of the last 13.
