UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Women's Cross Country team heads to North Carolina to compete in the Wake Forest Invitational on Friday, October 16th. The Spiders will be running the 6K on Friday at 5:15 PM on the Ivey M. Redmond Sports Complex/Cross Country Course.

"We are looking forward competing on Friday afternoon," Head Coach Lori Taylor said. We've seen a nice change in the past three weeks as the intensity and speed increases. This will be an opportunity to see a couple Atlantic 10 schools as well ACC teams on a course that should replicate our A-10 Championships course pretty well. The goal this weekend is to be strong up front and control our one to five split as a team."
The Spiders will be bringing 12 women along with them to compete in the 6K race. The Spiders will be hoping to build on their 14th place finish in Louisville two weeks ago, where they were led by Tara Hanley.
