Spiders Host St. Francis, Boston College For Senior Weekend

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond returns home this on Friday for the final home weekend of the season.
The Spiders (8-7, 4-1) play host to conference foe St. Francis (8-5, 4-2) on Friday at 3 p.m., followed by a Sunday Senior Day game with No. 14 Boston College (8-7) at noon.
Richmond is coming off a split road weekend where the Spiders lost to Davidson, 1-0, in overtime, before defeating Appalachian State on Sunday.
UR is looking to make up ground in the conference race after slipping to second place behind Davidson.
Junior Kelly Quinn continues to lead Richmond's offense with seven goals on 11 shots for a team-high 14 points. Avery Safford has a team-best seven assists to go along with two goals.
Richmond has played a dual goalie system all season, and done so magnificently. Amanda Hoyt has a 2.24 goals allowed average while Emily Braunewell has a .746 save percentage. The duo has combined for five shutouts on the season.
St. Francis comes in on a four-game winning streak after losing back-to-back contests to Davidson and Richmond. The Red Flash have only allowed 14 goals all season and are led by Selena Adamshick's nine goals and five assists. Her 23 points currently rank second in the Atlantic 10.
Boston College senior goalkeeper Leah Settipane (43 wins) holds the school's all-time record for career wins. Junior Emily McCoy leads the team in points (19) with twin sister Eryn McCoy second with 17 points. Boston College will be the seventh ranked team that Richmond has faced this weekend.
Richmond will honor five seniors on Sunday including Kimberly Sportack, Taylor Deitrick, Amy Cooke, Allison Haas and Avery Safford
