Richmond Heads To Saint Louis With Top Seed On The Line

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Richmond Spiders travel to Saint Louis University for the final game of the 2015 field hockey season. UR and SLU take the field at 2 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon.
The Spiders (10-8, 6-1) will have the opportunity to clinch the Atlantic 10 regular season title and the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament. UR clinches either with a win or a Davidson loss.
Richmond won a 3-1 victory over rival VCU on Wednesday night on a soggy Crenshaw Field. Two of UR's three goals came off penalty corners as Kasey Gilbride, Amy Cooke and Katrina Balatgek all scored goals.
Through seven conference games, the Spiders have outscored their opponents, 16-4, with three shutouts.
The Billikens enter the game with a 1-16 record, but won their last game out against Lock Haven, 2-1. SLU has been outscored 78-15 over the course of the season.
Richmond will be looking for its first regular season title since 2012. The Spiders have won eight regular season championships in the A-10 since 2002.
