A-10 #FeatureFriday: Cross Country's Jordan Chavez

Richmond cross country senior Jordan Chavez was featured in the Atlantic 10's #FeatureFriday segment today.

A native of Southlake, Texas, Chavez competed with Team USA this past summer, winning the silver medal at the North American Central American Caribbean (NACAC) Mountain Running Championships held on Cypress Mountain in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The feature details Chavez's multiple appearances on the U.S. Mountain Running Team (USMRT) as he got to compete in the mountains of Italy, Poland and Mexico.

Richmond has had multiple athletes compete in international competition in mountain running, a strenuous sport that tests the body and the mind.

The Spider cross country teams will be competing in the home-hosted Atlantic 10 Championships tomorrow morning at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va.
