UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The No. 16/18-ranked University of Richmond football team (3-1, 1-0 CAA) returns to Robins Stadium for the second-consecutive week to take on Elon (2-3, 1-1 CAA) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday looking to stay unbeaten in the all-time series.

Series History
Saturday's game will mark the 6th meeting all-time between the two schools, with the Spiders holding a 5-0 advantage against the Phoenix. The Spiders defeated Elon in the playoffs in 2009 16-13. Richmond won the only meeting between the two in the Rocco era 30-10 last season.
Kyle Lauletta Keeps Rising
Quarterback Kyle Lauletta established new career highs in yards and touchdowns against Maine Saturday. Lauletta threw for 311 yards with four touchdowns against the Black Bears and is currently leading the CAA in passing efficiency with a rating of 162.9 and second in the CAA in passing with 247.5 yards per game. Lauletta is the CAA co-player of the week after his performance against Maine.
Fisher Scores
RB Seth Fisher's 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter of Saturday's game gave him at least one touchdown in each of the first four games this season and was his 28th career score, which is currently good for fifth place on the career-scoring list. Fisher racked up the touchdowns last season for the Spiders. He finished third in the CAA with 16 total scores (12 rush, 4 pass) and also led the team with 777 rushing yards.
Brown's Big Day
Brian Brown's 177 yard performance Saturday was his second 100+ yard game of the season and ninth of his Spider career. He would add two touchdowns opposite Maine.
Last Time Out
Richmond bagged the Maine Black Bears 48-17 at Robins Stadium, jumping out to an early lead and not looking back. The Spiders scored 14 points on five plays under two minutes into the first quarter. QB Kyle Lauletta threw for a career hight 311 yards and four touchdowns while WR Brian Brown tallied 177 yards and a pair of TD's on seven receptions. It was the ninth 100 yard game of Brown's career.
National Ranking Streak
The Spiders are ranked 16/18 in the nation this week by both major polls, which marks the 18th consecutive week dating back to last season. Richmond was included in at least one of the major polls each week during the 2014 campaign, reaching as high as No. 8
Trevor Jones
The DB had a career-best eight tackles opposite the Black Bears including six solo stops which led all Spiders. Since the injury to Tafon Mainsah, Jones has taken on an increased role in the defensive backfield splitting time between, corner, safety and linebacker, thriving at each spot.
