ESPN's Todd McShay Sends Richmond Football A Message
11/19/2015 | Football
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Just as he did prior to Richmond's big matchup with James Madison in Harrisonburg last month, ESPN NFL Draft Analyst and Richmond alum Todd McShay used his national forum to send the Spiders a message in advance of this Saturday's Capital Cup game opposite No. 7 William & Mary at Robins Stadium.
“Listen we haven't handled success very well,” McShay began. “We've lost two in-a-row and we need this one. Now this is the Oldest Rivalry in the South! Nobody needs me to give them a pep talk for this game. We're talking about the 125th matchup between William & Mary and Richmond.”
Richmond will kick off with the Tribe at Noon on Saturday looking to secure a share of its fourth CAA Championship, all within the last nine years. The sold-out Robins Stadium crowd will be able to witness various 125-themed events throughout the game including the selection of the rivalry's greatest game and the presentation of the Capital Cup to the winning side.
