UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's basketball team (6-3) will hit the road for a tilt with Appalachian State (1-6) in Boone, N.C. looking to get back to its winning ways after a hard-fought loss to James Madison on Sunday.

Last Time Out
The University of Richmond women's basketball team fell to 6-3 for the season on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 73-47 decision to James Madison (6-2) at the Robins Center. The Spiders were led by Janelle Hubbard who deposited 15 points and Bria Powell who netted 11 to hit double figures for the first time this season.
Richmond was without senior guard Lauren Tolson and freshman forward Tuuli Menna, both of which missed the game with injuries. Powell entered the starting lineup for the first time this season as a result and Salita Greene received the first start of her career.
Janelle Hubbard
Richmond guard Janelle Hubbard has had a junior season to remember so far. She is averaging 16.6 points per game over the teams first nine contests after putting up 13.9 a season ago. Hubbard was chosen as a preseason All-Atlantic 10 player and his fast on her way to joining the Richmond 1,000-point club. She currently sits at 952 and is averaging 13.2 points for her career. At the same time, Hubbard has increased her rebounding averaging from 2.4 per game to 2.8 and is shooting a career-best 45.5 percent from the floor.
