Postgame Notes – FCS Semifinals – North Dakota State
TEAM
- With 10 more wins this year, Coach Rocco is now seventh all-time in total wins by a head coach in Spider history.
- The 33 wins during Rocco's tenure is the highest in the first four years of any head coaching tenure in program history.
- Richmond reached the FCS semifinal for the third time in the past nine years (2007, 2008, 2015).
- The 10 victories this year marks the fifth time in school history that the Spiders posted a double-digit win total.
- With 209 yards of offense on the night, Richmond finished the year with 6,326 of total offense, which ranks as the second-highest total in program history.
OFFENSE
- For the first time all season, Richmond was held scoreless in the first half.
- Garrett Hudson's 55-yard TD reception in the third quarter was a career long. His previous game high was 46 yards against Rhode Island. It was his second career TD reception.
- With 88 yards on the evening, Brian Brown became the first Spider in program history to break 1,400 yards receiving, finishing with 1,450 on the year. He also moves into third all-time with 2,718 career receiving yards.
- Jacobi Green finishes his career with 2,969 yards rushing, which ranks fifth-most in program history.
- Kyle Lauletta's 3,598 passing yards rank second-highest in a single-season in program history.
DEFENSE
- With another interception (Trevor Jones), the Richmond defense finished the year as the country's top defense in that category with 22. It's the second highest total in program history.
- The 17 tackles by Omar Howard marked the fifth game this year that he registered double-digit tackles. It was the third highest total of his career.
- With his 17 tackles, Howard moved into the top-10 in tackles in a single season, finishing with 136, which ranks eighth all-time.
- Brendan Coniker's 10 tackles were a career-high for the sophomore. His previous high was five in the win over Albany.
- NDSU was the first team in five games to score double-digit points in the first quarter. In the previous four games, Richmond had given up just six combined points.
