
Cooke Named Longstreth/NFHCA Third Team All-American

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond senior Amy Cooke was selected as a 2015 Longstreth/NFHCA Third Team All-American, the organization announced Monday.
A native of Ballyclaire, Northern Ireland, Cooke also was tabbed All-South Region First Team, her fourth-straight All-Region honor.
The Spider back finished her Richmond career with an outstanding senior season, earning Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year honors and a spot on the All-Conference First Team list. She was named Atlantic 10 All-Tournament after her goal against Davidson propelled Richmond into its fifth-straight A-10 tournament title game.
Cooke spearheaded a superb Spider defense that ranked first in the league in scoring margin, goals-against average and shutouts against conference opponents. She finished the season with four goals and two assists as the point of Richmond's penalty corner attack.
She was named NFHCA All-South Region First Team in 2014 and 2013, while earning a spot on the Second Team in 2012. Her career honors also included four straight All-A-10 First Team nods.
Cooke was one of two players from the Atlantic 10 to earn All-American honors.
