Pitt Field Renovations Cause Schedule Changes For Baseball

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – With the ongoing renovations at Pitt Field, the University of Richmond Spiders baseball team has altered its schedule for February, head coach Tracy Woodson announced on Monday.
Richmond's three-game series against Holy Cross will now be played at Deep Run High School in Glen Allen on February 20-22. Friday's game will start at 2 p.m., Saturday's game at 1 p.m. and Sunday's contest will begin at 11 a.m.
The Spiders' will then play host to the Norfolk State Spartans on Wednesday, February 25 at Shepherd Stadium in Colonial Heights. That game will is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
An announcement regarding additional alternate home baseball sites may be necessary pending the completion of the field turf project and will be announced at a later date. A completion date for the Pitt Field project has not been determined and is contingent upon weather.
The Richmond Spiders baseball team gets the 2015 season underway on Friday, February 13 when the team plays UNCW in the first game of the Buffalo Wild Wings Battle at the Beach in Wilmington, NC. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
