Richmond Football Earns 16 Academic All-CAA Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Spiders football team saw 16 student-athletes earn 2014 CAA All-Academic team honors on Thursday, the league office announced.
The 16 student-athletes earning the distinction for Richmond this season were Adam Farley, Austin Gund, David Herlocker, Graham Latham, Joey Landess, Michael Rocco, Michael Strauss, Nicholas Vergos, Nick Velardo, Patrick Kliebert, Peter Yoder, Sean Ryan, Tafon Mainsah, Terrence Fullum, Thomas Evans and Will McCombs.
To be eligible for the CAA Football Academic All-Conference Team, a player must be a starter or important reserve and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) for his entire academic career.
Transfers and first-year freshmen are eligible. Voting for the Student-Athlete of the Year award is conducted by CAA Football's 11 communications contacts, representing one vote per school.
