As a team, Richmond shot two-under par in the second round, tying VCU for the best round of the day (286).
UR was led by freshman Matthew Lowe who carded the lowest round of the day at 67 (-5). It marked the best round for any Spider this season and tied for the sixth-best round in school history. "I was really happy by our demeanor last night and today," head coach Adam Decker said. "We didn't panic after our first round and we responded with one of the best rounds out here today. We know that if we come out again tomorrow with that focus, we can make a good run."
Junior David Germann, Friday's best scorer, played a consistent second round as he scored +1 (73). He currently sits in a tie for sixth overall as Richmond's top scorer, tallying a -2 (142) heading into Sunday.
Sophomore Keegan Hoff shot a 75 (+3), while Austin Romeo came in at 77 (+5) for the day. Romeo is +7 for the tournament while Hoff is +8.
