Richmond's Fraser Named A-10 Player Of The Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – After a stellar week, University of Richmond Spiders junior OF Jansen Fraser was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week on Monday, the league office announced.
The honor is the first for Fraser in his career and marks the fifth weekly conference honor Richmond has earned so far this season.
Fraser was outstanding for the Spiders this week, helping the team run its winning streak to eight games with a perfect, 4-0 week. The junior batted 8-for-13 (.615) with three home runs, a double, eight RBI and six runs scored. Fraser posted an incredible slugging percentage of 1.385 and an on-base percentage of .632.
On the year, Fraser is hitting .311 with four homers, five doubles, a triple and 20 RBI. In Atlantic 10 play, the Glen Allen, Va. product is hitting .370 with a homer, two doubles and eight RBI.
The Richmond Spiders will be back in action on Wednesday, when the team will play Duke at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C. at 6 p.m.
