2017-18 Season Tickets Are Now Available!
Reserve your seats for the 2017-18 Spider men's basketball season! Season tickets are on-sale now for another exciting year at the Robins Center! Tickets are available online, by phone at 1-877-Spider-1, or in-person at the Robins Center Ticket Office.
The program is coming off a highly successful 2016-17 campaign that was led by Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and AP All-American Honorable Mention, T.J. Cline. The team advanced to the NIT Quarterfinals after finishing third in the Atlantic 10 and will return reigning A-10 Rookie of the Year De'Monte Buckingham to a young roster of rising stars that also includes the high-flying Khwan Fore, sharp shooting Nick Sherod and local big man Grant Golden.
Richmond freshman De'Monte Buckingham became Richmond's third Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year since the Spiders joined the league in 2001. Buckingham led all of the league's freshmen in rebounding, finishing with 6.2 boards per game in conference play. His 176 rebounds are the most by any freshman Spider since Charles Stephens grabbed 223 in 1999. A native of Richmond, Va., Buckingham averaged 11.9 points per game in conference play, including two 20-point outbursts. He totaled 30 steals in A-10 play, ranking fourth in the league and first among freshmen. Buckingham won three Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week awards as he was also selected to the A-10 All-Freshmen team.
Fans who had season tickets for the 2016-17 season have been emailed online renewal instructions, which includes a cost-savings over using a paper application. Paper applications will be mailed soon, and the deadline to renew your current seat locations (or request a move to a new location) is July 21st.
Fans who did not have 2016-17 season tickets may purchase their 2017-18 season seats today, and locations will be allocated following the renewal period. New season ticket holders will be called to pick their seats in the order in which they purchase, so all-new season ticket holders are encouraged to purchase as soon as possible to reserve the best seat locations.
Season ticket holder benefits include significant cost savings over single game prices, access to purchase additional tickets to the VCU game, a free Red Out t-shirt in your size, an interest-free three part installment plan, and access to purchase tickets to the 2018 Atlantic 10 tournament held in Washington, D.C.
