RICHMOND, Va. – Griffin Trau continues to step up in big ways for the University of Richmond football team.
This weekend was no different, booting home three field goals to help the Spiders to a thrilling 23-0 victory over #13 Villanova on Saturday in front of a sold out Robins Stadium crowd.
“Griffin's been terrific for us this year. He's always been there for us, ever since he's got here and he's always been reliable,” Head Coach Danny Rocco said. “He's really stepped up for us and made some big kicks this year.”
Trau was the leading scorer in Saturday's win with 11 points on the day and currently leads the Spiders with 60 points on the year.
The Culver, Ind. native is 12-for-13 in field goals including a perfect 12-for-12 inside 45 yards. On extra points, Trau is 24-for-24.
Trau and the Spiders hit the road this weekend when they travel to Elon for another CAA test. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
