Spider Basketball To Host Harry Potter Day

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - On Sunday, November 20th, the Robins Center will transform into a world of wizardry as we celebrate Harry Potter Day. Timed with the release of the new film, “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them," the Spiders will host an afternoon of fun on a campus many have deemed to be “Just Like Hogwarts”. The celebration will begin when the men's basketball team takes on Robert Morris at 1:30 p.m., and continue as the women's basketball team faces Appalachian State at 5 p.m. Fans with tickets to the men's basketball game will receive complimentary admission to the women's game.
All fans are encouraged to dress in their favorite Harry Potter-themed costume for a chance to win tickets to the release of the new movie plus a concessions gift card. Judging will take place behind sections 10-13 on the concourse.
Members of the Spiderlings Kids Club, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, will be treated to several fun activities such as a wand giveaway, a Harry Potter-themed photo frame, admissions letter to Hogwarts, and more.
Throughout the games, the Spiders will pay tribute to Harry Potter through videos and on-court promotions, such as a broomstick race, a game of Catch The Snitch, and Harry Potter Trivia. Fans can also participate by obtaining the Seven Horcruxes! We will announce during the game where you can show the Horcruxes to win! Hint: the first five are below (bring them to the game!) – perhaps you'll find the other two.
