BOCA RATON, Fla. - The University of Richmond women's basketball team (2-3) will be looking for its first Thanksgiving Tournament title since the Cancun Challenge in 2012 when it takes the floor opposite host school FAU (3-2) on Saturday afternoon.

Richmond shook off some early shooting woes and put forth and impressive second half effort to dispatch Florida A&M (0-4), 64-51, in the first round of the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday afternoon.
Janelle Hubbard scored 18 points to pace the effort while Karleigh Wike surprised everyone with a career-best 15 points on 6-7 shooting in just 17 minutes of action. Lauren Tolson found her stroke late and tossed in 10 points while Micaela Parson slowed her scoring but picked up the rebounding and assist effort, collecting 12 and 5, respectively. Those 12 rebounds match a career-high for Parson.
