Lauletta Named Wells Fargo Athlete Of The Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out Robins Stadium crowd, redshirt junior QB Kyle Lauletta showed exactly why he was named CAA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
Facing off against the first-place team in the conference, Lauletta posted a career-day including career-highs in yards with 435 and touchdowns with 5. For his outstanding performance, Lauletta ws named Wells Fargo Athlete of the Week.
The Downingtown, Pa. native completed pass to a career-high 10 different wide receivers, five of whom caught TDs on the day. Two of those came from Will McCombs and Jay Palmer, both of whom caught their first career TDs.
On the year, Lauletta leads the CAA with 2,629 yards, which places him seventh in the country in that category. He also has tossed for a career-best 21 TDs, which leads the CAA and ranks 10th in the country.
Lauletta and his teammates are back in action this weekend at Robins Stadium in the regular season home finale against Delaware. Game time on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic Plus is set for 3:30 p.m.
