LAST TIME OUT
In one of its toughest tests on the non-conference schedule, the University of Richmond women's basketball team (4-7) battled East Carolina (8-3) the entire way on Saturday afternoon but was ultimately unable complete a great comeback, as the visitors were able to hold on to a lead in the second half for a 71-60 victory. Lauren Tolson scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in her return to the starting lineup, replacing Janelle Hubbard who scored nine off the bench. Micaela Parson (15 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists) and Ragan Wiseman (10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists) joined Tolson in double figures. The next leading scorer was Amy Duggan who scored the first four points of her collegiate career.
LAST SEASON'S MEETING
Richmond fell behind Furman early and even battled back to take a lead in the second half but it was the visitors who had more down the stretch to come away with the, 69-62, victory at the Robins Center. Janelle Hubbard provided 22 points on 9-21 shooting.
