Outdoor Track & Field Season Begins At Tribe Invitational

Richmond, Va. – The 2016 women's outdoor track & field season beings on Saturday, March 19th when the Spiders head down to Williamsburg to compete in the Tribe Invitational.
The Richmond Spiders will be aiming high this season, coming off a fourth place finish in the 2016 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships and fifth place finish in the 2015 A-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Last outdoor season saw Janel Francis win the A-10 title in the long jump that qualified her the NCAA East Regional.
Also at last years A-10 tournament, the 4 x 800 relay team consisted of Alyson McGonigle, Marisa Ruskan, Stephanie Hughes and Taylor Clevinger took home first place while also breaking a school record with a time of 8:49.19.
The event will take place at Zable Stadium, with the first event scheduled to take place at 10:15 a.m. For the full meet schedule click here.
