Egizi Earns Second A-10 Weekly Honor

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – For the past few weeks, Kim Egizi has served as a spark for the University of Richmond women's lacrosse team, and her efforts have paid off.
Egizi received her second Atlantic 10 Conference weekly award of the season on Monday, as she was named the A-10 Co-Player of the Week along with Saint Joseph's Nora McCallion.
The sophomore had a career day on Saturday at St. Bonaventure, leading Richmond to a 17-13 win. Egizi logged a career-high seven points on seven goals, the second-highest single-game goal total in program history.
After scoring a hat trick in the first half, she added four additional goals after the break. She also picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers in the win.
Egizi leads the Spiders with 49 points this season, while her 33 goals rank second on the team. She has scored 14 goals in the Spiders' past three games.
The Spiders return to action on Thursday, May 5, when they take on host Duquesne in the Atlantic 10 Quarterfinals. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
