#4 Spiders Set For Record-Setting TV Schedule In 2016

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – There will be plenty of eyes tuned into the #4 University for Richmond football program this fall with a minimum of eight contests on TV.
All six of the Spiders' home games will be on Comcast SportsNet, while road games at UVA and Stony Brook will also be televised. The season finale at William & Mary has a strong possibility of a wild card, but that will be determined closer to the end of the regular season.
For the second consecutive season, SpiderTV will produce two home game telecasts. The contests with Norfolk State Sept. 10 and 2015 FCS Quarterfinalist Colgate Sept. 24 will be produced by SpiderTV and will air on either CSN or CSN+ Mid Atlantic.
The eight, possible nine televised games, is a program record.
“We're certainly excited to have the opportunity to play a record number of TV games this fall,” Athletic Director Keith Gill said. “Our coaches and student-athletes have worked hard for their recent success and it's great to see them get rewarded with the opportunity to play in front of TV audiences up and down the east coast.”
The home opener against Norfolk State is set for a 6 p.m. kickoff, while all other Spider home games will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. at Robins Stadium.
Richmond's game at Stony Brook on September 17 is set for 12 p.m. on American Sports Network.
