Allen Set to Join Jazz for NBA Summer League

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Richmond basketball has a long-standing NBA tradition with players and coaches a like making their mark at the highest level of the game.
That tradition continued on Tuesday night when recently graduated Spider Terry Allen earned a spot on the Utah Jazz Summer League roster for the upcoming three games next week in Salt Lake City.
Allen, who recently played in the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in April, finished his career ranked among the best forwards to ever put on a Spider uniform.
This past season, he earned All-Atlantic 10 Third Team honors and a spot on the NABC All-District Second team after finishing in the top-15 in the league in scoring (17.3 ppg) and sixth in rebounding (7.7 rpg). He also chipped in nearly two steals per game and shot 49.2-percent from the field.
In his four years at Richmond, Allen piled up 1,491 points, which ranks him 11th on the program's all-time scoring list. He also hauled in 782 boards, which put him fifth all-time.
