Field Hockey Set To Hosts Pair of Scrimmages This Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The University of Richmond field hockey team is set to host a pair of scrimmages this week at Crenshaw Field.
The Spiders will host Monmouth on Tuesday (August 16) at 11:00 a.m., before in-state rival Longwood visits for a Saturday (August 20) matchup. That game is also scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
Head Coach Gina Lucido welcomes ten new faces to this years squad, while she returns 15 from a team that posted a 12-9 overall record just a year ago, with a 7-1 mark in Atlantic 10 action.
Richmond will kick off their 2016 campaign at American on Friday, August 26. The Spiders are set to open their home slate on September 9 when in-state rival, Old Dominion visits.
