Rokop Named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- After a standout performance over the weekend at George Washington, senior diver Laura Rokop was named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week. Rokop shined on the 3-meter board, winning the event with a score of 277.73. The Spiders also swept the top-three spots in the event.

The senior from Wildwood, Mo., also took home a third place finish on the 1-meter board (240.00), finishing behind teammate Maddy Chao (251.18) and GW's Gabriella Arendes.

Rokop hit the NCAA Zone Qualifying mark earlier this season in the 1-meter event with a score of 266.35 on the second day of the Richmond Duals.

Rokop and the Spiders will return to competition after the holidays when they travel to Harrisonburg for a dual meet with James Madison on January 13.
