Women’s Lacrosse Adds Louisville Transfer For 2018

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's lacrosse team's future seems bright with the return of 10 starters from last season, and head coach Allison Kwolek and her staff continue to work hard to bring success to the program.

As the 2018 season approaches, Kwolek has announced the addition of transfer student-athlete Julia Schmuckler to the Spiders' roster for this season.

"We are thrilled to have Julia joining us this spring," Kwolek said. "She gained a lot of experience on the field her freshmen year playing in the ACC at Louisville, and we expect her to make a contribution for us in the midfield this season."

Schmuckler comes to Richmond after competing in eight games in her rookie campaign, scoring once as a midfielder for the Cardinals.

An native of New Vernon, New Jersey, Schmuckler served as a senior captain and four-year varsity starter at the Kent Place School, and was selected as a Stars and Stripes and NJISAA Prep First Team honoree. She was a three-sport varsity athlete, competing in lacrosse as well as field hockey and squash.
