Craig Signs To Eagles Practice Squad

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – For just about every day from August until early December, former University of Richmond standout Winston Craig could be found working out either on the field at Robins Stadium or in the Robins Center.
All that hard work paid off on Thursday when Craig was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles to join their practice squad.
Craig joins three of his former teammates who are currently with NFL organizations in Kerry Wynn (Giants), David Jones (Patriots – practice squad) and Brian Brown (Cowboys – practice squad).
"This is something you dream about as a little kid," Craig said. "All the hours you work, it's worth it for a moment like this and to get an opportunity with a first-class organization like the Eagles."
The Greensboro, N.C. native had a huge senior year and anchored the Spider defensive line for three years. He finished his career making 43 consecutive starts. He finished as a two-time All-CAA honoree and a 2016 All-American.
In his senior season, Craig racked up 59 tackles, 11 for a loss, including 7.5 sacks, which ranked second in the league.
