Geiersbach Earns Second Rookie of the Week Honor

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond women's lacrosse rookie Sam Geiersbach is on a roll.
The freshman attacker has earned her second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honor of the season after a seven-point outburst last week.
Geiersbach scored seven times in Richmond's two games, logging four goals for the third time this season in a midweek loss to JMU before posting her fifth hat trick of the year in a 16-7 defeat of Campbell.
She currently leads the team with 28 points this season, scoring 22 goals and assisting on six others. Her 3.14 goals per game rank her second in the nation among freshmen and 24th overall.
The Spiders return to action on Saturday, March 25, when they travel to take on instate rival William & Mary. First draw in Williamsburg is set for 1 p.m.
