Spiders Tabbed as ITA All-Academic Squad

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – For the fifth straight year, the University of Richmond women's tennis team has been named a Division I All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Individually, senior Kelsey Williams earned her third-consecutive ITA Scholar Athlete honor, while fellow senior Brittany Boys was honored for the second time. Freshmen Lyndell Giffenig, Kiana Marshall and Lea Owens also earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors.
The squad had an outstanding academic year in 2016-17, finishing with the highest cumulative grade point average of any Spider team. Richmond is one of seven Atlantic 10 teams to earn the ITA honor.
