Spiders' Season Opener Thwarted By Storms

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The Spiders and visiting Longwood played just under 18 minutes on Friday night at Robins Stadium, but inclement weather forced the cancellation of what would have been the season opener for both teams.
There is no make up date set at this time.
The Spiders return to action on Sunday, when they host Iowa in the first meeting all-time between the two squads. Kickoff at Robins Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
