Second Annual Football And Brews Event Set For This Saturday

Prior to the Spider football game versus nationally-ranked Albany on October 7th, fans can participate in the 2nd annual Football and Brews event, presented by the University of Richmond School of Professional and Continuing Studies. The pregame festival outside on Millhiser Green features craft beer tasting from six local breweries.
This year's edition will feature several new breweries such as Wild Wolf, Alewerks, Buskey Cider, Trapezium, South Street, and Blue Mountain. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the game's kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m.

In addition to the craft beer tasting, patrons will also receive a commemorative take home cup, and food will be available from Qdoba, Maggiano's, and CAVA.
The event is presented by URSPCS, whom offer a beer brewer professional certificate for those interested in entering or advancing in the growing craft beer industry.
