Brown Earns Spot On Dallas Cowboys’ Practice Squad

ARLINGTON, Texas – Over a million kids nationwide play high school football.
Less than three-percent of those, roughly 28,000, play NCAA Division I football.
Roughly 1.2-percent of that group go on to play in the NFL.
Richmond native and former Spider star Brian Brown can now count himself among that final group after he was signed to the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.
After an All-American career at Richmond, Brown signed with the Cowboys in April and continued to work his way up the chart for the reigning NFC East Champions.
In four preseason games, Brown led the team in catches with 10 and was third in total yards receiving with 84.
He will go down as the greatest receiver to ever put on a Spider uniform. He was just the third CAA receiver ever to tally three 1,000-plus yard seasons and finished as the program's all-time leader in every statistical category.
He finished with 4,203 yards (12th all-time in FCS history), 23 touchdowns and 247 receptions. He was a three-time All-CAA honoree and two-time All-American.
