Rubin continues to excel in his role as both linebacker and captain. He recorded a career high 13 tackles two games ago against Elon and followed that with seven tackles and a quarterback sack in the Villanova game. He is among the league leaders in tackles per game, averaging 7.5 stops per contest. He is third on the defense in total tackles this season and Rubin has played in 46 games in his Spider career, with 33 starts.
A consistent presence in his first season as a Spider offensive lineman, Coleman has started all eight games this year. The Stone Mountain, Georgia native is an anchor for an offense which leads the CAA in passing yards (279.8 yards per game) and is second in total offense (400.2 yards per game), one of just two CAA teams with more than 400 yards of total offense per game. Spider quarterbacks have been sacked only 18 times this season, and just thee times n the past four games.
The on-air group will also preview Saturday's Senior Day home finale at Robins Stadium against nationally-ranked Maine, where the 2008 National Championship team will be honored on its tenth anniversary.
