UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond Spiders men's basketball team announced television and streaming broadcast information for all of its 2018-19 regular-season games on Thursday. Each of the Spiders 31 regular-season games will be broadcast on national or regional television or shown on ESPN+.Â
Â
Of the 17 games hosted by the Spiders at the Robins Center, 14 will be broadcast to a regional audience on NBC Sports Washington, NBC Sports Washington Plus, MASN or MASN2, and two will be broadcast nationally: Richmond's December 1 game vs Wake Forest (NBC Sports Network) and the second game of the Lumber Liquidators Capital City Classic against VCU on March 2 (CBS Sports Network).
22 of the Spiders games will be streamed on ESPN+, including 15 Richmond home games as part of the Atlantic 10's new multi-year agreement with the service. Â
All regional television and ESPN+ broadcasts from the Robins Center will be produced by the University of Richmond's SpiderTV. For the 36th straight season, Bob Black will handle play-by-play duties for the Spiders and Richmond Athletics Hall of Famer Greg Beckwith, the program's all-time leader in assists and steals, will provide analysis. Blake Ellett returns as director for all SpiderTV broadcasts.
Â
Overall, the Spiders will play at least nine regular-season games on national TV in 2018-19. In addition to the two home games that are being nationally broadcast, both of Richmond's games at November's Fort Myers Tip-Off will be shown on FOX Sports 1, and the Spiders November 28th game at Georgetown will be aired by CBS Sports Network. NBC Sports Network will show the Spiders A-10 road games at Dayton (January 6) and Davidson (January 19) to a national audience, Richmond's February 13 visit to VCU – the first game of the Lumber Liquidators Capital City Classic – will air on either ESPN2 or ESPNU, and the Spiders March 6th trip to UMass will air on Eleven Sports.Â
Â
2018-19 is the first year of the Atlantic 10's multi-year agreement with ESPN+ to stream all conference games that are not nationally broadcast. All ESPN+ games can be streamed on ESPN.com or in the latest version of the ESPN App, which is available on iPhone, iPad, tvOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast and FireTV. Subscriptions are required and can be purchased monthly for $4.99.
Additional broadcast information, including final details on the broadcast for the Spiders' December 22nd game against High Point at the Washington, D.C.'s Holiday Hoops Fest, will be released at a later time.Â
