Two Spiders Earn A-10 Academic All-Conference Awards

Senior Colleen Carney and junior Miles Clikeman earn Academic All-Conference awards ahead of running in the NCAA Southeast Regional meet this Friday.
Carney has had a standout season so far this year, on the course and in the classroom. Carney started the season by winning the Spider Alumni Open and leading the Spider women at the 2018 Paul Short Run. The Glen Mills, P.A. native was the #2 Richmond runner coming in 5th at the Atlantic 10 Championships where the Spiders won their third title in the last four years. As a double major in Leadership and Healthcare Studies, Carney also earned Performer of the Week after the Spider Alumni Open.Â
Miles Clikeman, a Math and Computer Science double major, has had a strong season running for the Spiders and in the classroom. Leading the Spider top 5 in every race this season, including a second place finish at the Spider Alumni Open and winning the Delaware Invitational, the North Chesterfield, V.A. native led the men at the A-10 Championships, placing 11th and earning First Team All-Conference awards.Â
