
Spiders Wrap-Up First Day at Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After officially opening the outdoor season last weekend at the Fred Hardy Invitational, the Spider Track and Field team returned to action at the Colonial Relays. A pair of distance events kicked off action with on Thursday night with the 3,000 and 10,000m races.
Shelby Cain led the Spiders in the 3,000m race as she placed sixth, crossing the line in a time of 10:03.04. Caroline Robelen logged a top-10 finish in a time of 10:09.41. Rebecca Fagan (10:13.69) finished in 11th while Madeline Ustanik (10:48.03) was 23rd.
Ave Grosenheider closed out the first day of competition clocking an ECAC qualifying time of 36:03.03 in the 10,000m to finish fifth.
