Berkeley Breaks 400m Hurdle Record in Final Day of Action at ECAC Championship Sunday

PRINCETON, N.J. - The 4x400m placed fifth in the final day of ECAC Championship action. The relay team of Haley Berkeley, Maria Acosta, Marshea Robinson and Brooke Fazio turned in a time of 3:47.18, to finish just behind Atlantic 10 foes VCU and George Mason, as well as Morgan State and Towson.

In addition to the fifth place relay, Fazio also logged a top-10 finish in the 400m dash. The freshman crossed the line at 55.50 in a very close race. Berkeley continued to impress in the 400m hurdles as she broke the school record with a time of 1:02.03 as she finished 12th overall.

In the 10,000m, Ave Grosenheider crossed the line at 38:31.07 to finish 17th overall. The Spiders finished 13th overall out of 45 of the top East Coast teams.

The Spiders await the final announcement for NCAA qualifiers. Acosta has already clinched her spot in the 800m. Fazio (800m), Eryn Mills (3,000m Steeplechase), and Marisa Ruskan (1500m) are pending delcarations. Final declarations are on Tuesday and those awaiting final word should know by Wednesday if they've qualified for NCAA East Regional.
