Swimming and Diving Place Three on CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond swimming and diving program placed three members on the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on the Scholar All-America Team. The award recognizes students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed in their respective swimming and diving championships.
Senior Erin Barry (Millington, N.J.), senior Laura Rokop (Wildwood, Mo.) and sophomore Sydney Weiskopf (Clifton Park, N.Y.) earned Honorable Mention accolades.
Barry is the two-time Atlantic 10 Conference 200-breast stroke champion and was part of the silver medal 400-meter relay team at this year's A-10 Championships. She is also a four-time Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient.
Rokop placed seventh in the Atlantic 10 Conference championships in the 1-meter board and fifth in the 3-meter board. She qualified for the NCAA Zones, placing 24th in the 3-meter board with a 219.60 and 25th in the 1-meter board with a 223.35.
Weiskopf placed 15th in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships on the 1-meter board with a 220.40. She advanced to the NCAA Zones and finished 38th in the 3-meter board at 209.60 and 54th in the 1-meter board at 180.50.
